It would have been a tough loss to handle after the circus win against Denver last week. Luckily, the Patriots still have an immortal slinging the ball and a wizard as coach and a Texans team that just lost a franchise worst ten straight. A few things from yesterday’s game:

Belichick and the Patriots continue to win in December
There was graphic during the game yesterday showing just how dominant the Patriots have been late in the year under Belichick’s reign. During the month of December, Belichick is 48-8 (.857 winning percentage) as the head coach of the Pats. To give you an idea of how absurd that stat is, the second place coach in NFL history is 27-6 in December. This just shouldn’t happen in today’s National Football League.

Brady raked
Despite the one interception Brady topped out yesterday at 371 yards on 29 of 41 throws. Whenever Brady throws a pick I feel like I’m playing Madden and I get pissed my stats are going to take a hit. His streak of assaulting defenses however, continues. Gronk, Vereen, and Edelman all look like trusted pieces in the offense for Tom.

Ridley benched

Sitting him for the first quarter of the following game didn’t work after a fumble, so how about a full on bench job? Don’t bother dressing, just watch and hold a football on the sideline so everyone knows this is your last straw. I speak for most Pats fans but I really don’t want to see Ridley go. He’s explosive and strong and can make an offense better. But Bill will be ruthless if he needs to be if Stevan can’t squeeze the rock.

The losses
It’s never logical to play “what if” but the Patriots improved to 9-3 on the season. In their three losses however, they lost by a combined total of 15 points. Two of those games being decided on questionable calls.
